Mission Statement:
QAC IS A RADICAL GRASSROOTS COALITION which includes members of
Gay Shame, Radical Women, ANSWER, SF Community Land Trust, the tenant
bar, Harvey Milk Democratic Club, Peace & Freedom Party, and the
Party for Socialism and Liberation.
QAC works to end the displacement of low income, working class,
middle class, elderly, and disabled queers from the Polk, SOMA, and
Castro and the displacement of queer bars and businesses. QAC
supports sex workers and works to preserve gay nightlife and cruising
areas.
QAC supports a moratorium on market rate-housing and the
development of affordable-only housing, expansion of residential rent
control, and enactment of commercial rent control for small businesses.
